Stories From the East Coast - Highlights of Coast
I am originally from Ontario. I met my husband in Toronto, who is originally from Abrams River, NS (by Yarmouth).
When he first brought me home to meet his family, I was blown away by the beauty of the ocean, beaches, food (fresh seafood!!), and, most of all, the people.
I have never felt so at home, and I told him that when we retire, we are moving here. But hey, why wait? We decided to move here 4 years ago, and I am so in love with the East Coast.
I grew up in a small town where people helped you out without even having to ask. But when I moved to Toronto, people were much more guarded and suspicious if you just said "hi". However, that is so not the case here on the East Coast. Everyone says "hi", and everyone is there to lend you a hand, even if you didn't ask or need help!
Highlights for me so far are Cape Breton, Tusket Falls Brewery, super fresh lobsters, scallops, and haddock, and beachcombing. I'm looking forward to continuing my East Coast journey!
